When you first begin processing with Spark Pay, your account will not allow processing of keyed in (known as card-not-present transactions) international cards.
Once you receive the card reader, you will be able to swipe (known as a card-present transactions) an internationally-issued card with Spark Pay, within the United States. However, due to the riskier nature of processing international cards, one of our team members will likely contact you to inquire about the nature of your business and may request documentation to validate the transaction in order to protect you from fraud. If you rely on a customer base that uses international cards (ex: the tourism industry), please contact our Credit Support Team at 888-680-4106 or send an email to MS-SparkPay@capitalone.com.
We do not currently allow processing through Spark Pay outside of the United States.
